          NAPAC Meeting this Thursday

District staff will be facilitating craft making during this months NAPAC meeting. Elementary students can create a craft while parents attend the NAPAC meeting to stay informed about ISD 196’s American Indian Education Program!

The leadership class is to help students learn more about types of leadership and strengthen them as individuals that will help them contribute to their communities.  The class will have cultural and academic topics as well as fun learning activities.

REMINDER for this month's Native American Parent Advisory Committee (NAPAC): We will be discussing our school district and The Indian Education program and the Resolution of Concurrence/Non-Concurrence process:

When: 6:30 p.m. Thurs. Feb. 23rd 
Where: School of Environmental Studies located at: 12155 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley MN 55124



  • The Resolution of Concurrence/Non-Concurrence is essentially a process that asks if the program is meeting the needs of our Native American Students. 
  • Supervision for school aged children will be provided.

Where: Apple Valley High School - Gym


  • Open to ALL students in grades 8-12. This is not just for E3 STEM students.
  • Students can chose to stay after school until the fair. Free tutoring, movie and dinner
  • Over 260 Professional presenters representing over 95 organizations
  • You DO NOT have to be there 2 hours. Most families are there 30 mins or so
  • MANY professional career fields represented include STEM but are not exclusively STEM. Most careers now have a STEM component to them.
  • MANY DOOR PRIZES! (some are designated for AVHS students)
  • FOOD- pizza will be served
